5 Fun Activities That Will Break the Boredom Blues

Are you having a hard time keeping your kids entertained? We’ve got your back!

There are only so many things you can come up with by yourself. You know what they say, it takes a village, and this village is here to tell you don’t fret! Don’t give in to the days of endless screen time!

We have come up with 5 of our favorite kid-friendly and Jerry approved activities you can do at home!

1.) Camping at home –
Who says you need to leave the house to go camping? Set up the tent in the back yard and spend the evening outside! Bonus points if you tell the scariest story and don’t get too scared to stay outside the whole night!

2.) Board Games –
Everyone has a closet full of board games you’ve probably forgotten about! Grab your favorite game and get the whole family playing. Choose Monopoly and that’s hours of fighting..I mean, playing with your family!

3.) Movie Marathon –
Look, we said ENDLESS screen time. Some screen time is totally acceptable! Grab your favorite braces-friendly snacks and watch all of the Harry Potter movies.

4.) Dance Party –
Turn on your favorite tunes and get moving. Disco balls & strobe lights are a must!

4.) Teach a New Skill –
As you’re forced to slow down, take the time to teach your awesome kid a new (age-appropriate) skill. Spend a little extra time to show them how to make their favorite dinner, check, and change the oil on the car, or money and time management. Teach them a life skill they won’t learn in school.

5.) Treasure Hunt –
Make a treasure hunt for your kiddos, loaded with riddles, clues, and maps! Make the surprise at the end be anything from extra screen time to a new toy you had planned on waiting to give them. The sky is the limit!

Our practice isn’t what you might expect from an orthodontic office. It’s not just about braces and Invisalign or seeing as many patients as possible.

We like to go at a slower pace here. By taking our time during each appointment, we know that each patient is getting very high-quality treatment — from the minor aesthetic details that we fuss over to the bigger picture.
